A race weapon and a freerider’s dream. The Spade is much more than a long-travel enduro bike; it’s a modular frame platform that lets you decide and change its characteristics. Configure it long and stable to go racing or short and snappy to play in the air. Want more or less travel? Looking for a different suspension feel? Just swap the links. 

Features

Modular dropouts let you change the wheel size from 27.5 to 29 without altering the geo or kinematic. You can also change the chainstay length from 437 to 457.
The Spade has 3 rocker link options: 150 trail, 170 enduro (stock link) & 200 DH. Each link alters the geo to fit the travel.
+/-5mm headset cups let you find a perfect fit and alternate cups can change the head angle.
The Snackbox is a simple, lightweight one piece storage door. It is made of recycled carbon fiber bikes and holds an internal frame bag.
The Orbit Bar™️ linkage is a small footprint 6-bar suspension linkage that uses 2 large 42mm bearings and a custom CNC alloy puck with an offset hole that creates an orbital pivot to provide increased small bump sensitivity and a strong pedal platform, all while keeping pedal kickback super low.
The holes in the Traction Flex chainstay allow the rear of the bike to twist and add traction without compromising stiffness. Traction where you need it and support where you want it.
Mounting tabs make it easy to add weights to the bottom.
Removible ISGC tabs let you decide if you want them or not.
A 10% range of progression from 20% to 30% means there's a setting for every preference and situation.
Integrated downtube and shuttle protection

Perfectly Tuned. We worked closely with RockShox to make a shock tune for the new Vivid Air and Coil that pairs perfectly with the Spade, so you can choose your preference. 

Geometry

Traction Balance geometry. Long chainstays and a reduced front center help to perfectly balance the rider’s weight between the two wheels for the most traction you will ever experience. 

Geometry designed with the kinematic. The head angle might look steeper than most long-travel bikes on paper, but because of the Spades’ high anti-rise, it keeps the geometry preserved and the head angle more consistent. 

Comfortable pedaling position. With an 80º seat tube angle and a high stack the rider can sit up right in a more comfortable position on steeper climbs.

Kinematics

Leverage Ratio. The shape of the leverage curve is a super important piece of the suspension system. The Spade's curve is consistent to maximize predictability. This design was built for both air and coil shocks

We worked hard to design the exact shape we wanted and to give the rider a large range of adjustment to tune it. From 20% to 30%, there is a setting that suits everyone. 

Pedal Kickback. A low pedal kickback value was important to us to keep the chain’s influence on the suspension linkage minimal, but we didn’t want to eliminate it completely. A little pedal kickback is a good thing because it gives the rider a platform to push and pump off of and helps them generate speed. In a 10 - 32 gear ratio, it's only 4.8° and increases in bigger gears for more support. 

Anti-Squat. The Orbit Bar allows us to fine-tune the kinematics to partially isolate the axle path and pedal kickback values from the anti-squat characteristics. Anti-squat is high for an extremely strong and efficient pedaling platform, and the pedal kickback remains very low for the smoothest suspension action, with minimal feedback in your feet. 

Anti-Rise. The amount of anti-rise a bike has is highly debated among bike engineers because both high and low amounts of anti-rise have pros and cons. To achieve the best of both worlds, the Spade's anti-rise starts high to preserve geometry and prevent the fork from diving. As the rear suspension goes through its travel, the anti-rise gets lower to prevent packing. We also worked closely with Rockshox to design a shock tune that pairs perfectly with the Spade's anti-rise to ensure the rear suspension continues to be very active under braking.
